Hey lovely people. New Year is coming and it is just around the corner. I can smell the spirit of it!! The cities look so beautiful and decorated. You can hear the Christmasy music all around. The magical feeling just surrounds me anywhere I go. I love it!
Is it not just important to end the last few weeks well, but most importantly, to plan and see what the next NEW year will bring you!
I would love to share a list of the want haves and of course must haves not only for this left short period of 2016, but for next year as well.
What is classic will stay classic. Forever. Amen.
Let's start with GUCCI. It's my No.1 beloved brand which still has a strong Identity and Design DNA.
A perennial piece reworked; Gucci stamps its seal of approval on the cropped profile of this cotton t-shirt. Decidedly minimal in its approach, this sporty design captures the iconic Gucci emblem atop the brand’s familiar triple-stripe interlocking belt rendered in an artful water color wash.
There are no shortage of modern icons in the world Alessandro Michele has created at Gucci, but embodying the retro elegance of the vision has to be the Princetown slippers. Cutting off the back of the world-famous horsebit originals and lining these flats with tufts of shearling has forged a must-have for fashion magpies everywhere. Amping up the punk glamour for the season, this leather pair is studded and finished with the label's formidable tigers studded across the vamp.
Under the watchful eye of Creative Directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, bold graphics have become a distinct Kenzo signature. Featuring one of their most iconic prints, the tiger, this cotton-jersey t-shirt will inject the Paris-based label's eccentricity into your new season wardrobe.
Celebrated for her on-going commitment to eco-friendly fashion, Stella McCartney’s signature Elyse flatforms are just one of many designs crafted in faux leather and wood from a certified sustainable source. Reimagined in a transeasonal tone for AW16, the pair’s impressive serrated sole highlights the British designer’s love of clean-cut minimalism.
The home of Italian couture, Valentino epitomises luxury and has done since 1962. Now under the creative vision of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, the Italian label takes on a contemporary tone with the Rockrunner trainers, which beautifully capture all that makes the Valentino name one of desire. A camouflage print decorated in stars are the focal point of the AW16 style, while the traditional rubber studs stay in keeping with the brand's vision.
